Don’t let the name of this awesome gloss fool you, it is wicked for any time of the year. In fact I used it today on a client who was doing an important television appearance. She looked amazing in it. You can too. Milani Crystal Gloss in Summer Baby is packed with va va va voom. It has a sexy shimmering lavender base but over that, is a champagne sheen. Totally hot for any outfit, any season. By the way, this little guy is only $3.49 so you won’t suffer any buyers remorse. I love affordable beauty!

It’s been a long time since I have given you glosser’s a great skin post. But fortunately for you, I have been trying on a bunch of new products and have suffered from a major attack of hideous pimple monsters! When I say major, I mean my face looks exactly like my cousin chi chi when he had a double case of the chickenpox! Very tragic indeed. But it is precisely these hard times that force my desperation to reach unprecedented levels, which in turn sends me out on a “quest” for great new products. I have never once come up empty handed. Guess what I got?????? Yup, a great new product.
The wonderful Einsteins over at Clean & Clear have mercifully come up with the Advantage Invisible Acne Patch. Actually it isn’t patch at all, it is a clear gel made with Salicylic acid, an amazing acne fighting medicine. This gel stuff comes in a tube, similar to that of a lip gloss. Simply take the cap off the tube and give it two clicks from the bottom. Boom! Up comes the gel, then simply spread it on top of your life disrupting pimple. The gel totally smooths out the pimple and allows makeup to glide right over, concealing to perfection. So while your concealing, you’re healing! Yes, having a massive pizza face makes me quite poetic.
Trust me, you are going to want to keep this baby in your locker, your purse, and in pretty much every drawer. It will not only save you oodles of embarrassment, it’ll save you time agonizing in front of the mirror trying to figure out how you’re are going to cover up your next monster zit!
As usual my misery is your gain. I always wanted to be of service to my fellow man, I guess this is my way!

Hola Glossers! Today was one of those days when everything that could go wrong, did. The pipes in my apartment leaked causing a heinous flood, clients were running late which made me late for other clients, I lost my ATM card (again), you name it, it happened.
Sometimes life just throws bombs atcha! Of course some bombs are better than others. As it happened, my good friend Ron, who is a bath and fragrance junkie had given me this Think Pink Bomb from LUSH for my birthday! I never even opened it thinking that I could re-gift it in an emergency (sorry Ron). However, after the day I had, I looked at it and thought, “Man, I need this tonight”. So I ran the warm water in the tub, lit some white candles, and dropped the bomb underneath the faucet. It was so cool the way it fizzled and bubbled and turned the water pink! Very fem. The fragrance was a really gorgeous light vanilla, not too sweet but very girly and sexy. There were also these cute little candy flowers which disintegrated into the water as well.
It was a wonderful, feminine and calorie-free way to unwind after a hell-acious day. Better run to Lush and stock up, as the holidays are coming and there are bound to be more days like today….. thank god. Now I have the perfect reason to try all the different bombs!

OK, OK I hear you loud and clear! A lot of you guys have been asking me to put up a post about a great foundation with more coverage! It took me a while to get a great new one that fit your list of criteria which was, great coverage, fab blend-ability, easy to use, travels well, and comes in good colors!
Clearly, this was not an easy task but being the cosmetic Sherlock Holmes, I can honestly say, “By Jove I think I got it!”. It’s L.A Colors Mystic Foundation Stick! I know you’ve probably never seen it, I hadn’t either but my friend Gladys who is quite possibly the biggest makeup junkie I have ever met said she’s been a fan for a while now.
I just have to say this stuff is really good. I found it extremely blend-able which was a big plus as I didn’t have my favorite E.L.F foundation brush with me. I found I could just smooth it in with my fingers no prob. I also used it as a concealer under my eyes which gave me the perfect coverage to hide the huge blueberry sacks under my eyes. Now it did have a bit of a dewy quality to it which was fine because the cooler weather is coming and it’ll help prevent my skin from crackling. For now though, I just applied a great silky powder with a brush and it looked just gorgeous. Plus, it lasted all day long, literally. I did not have to apply it even after running around the city like a cookoo bird trying to find a red tank top (don’t even bother to ask why I needed one and why it was such a ridiculously hard task). Anyway, you glosser’s are so gonna thank me when I tell you the price of this little guy, 6 bucks! Just six measly dollars for an incredible foundation that is little enough to keep in your knapsack for quick touch ups!
So there you go! Mission accomplished. Tell me how you guys like it.

I come to you today in complete shock! Yes, shock. I often tout the benefits of using Gel eyeliners. In fact I have never once used a regular liquid liner. Well, today I am a changed women! One of my Bff’s Rachael, recommended this fabu Liquid Liner by Vincent Longo. I chuckled to myself, thinking that she was bananas but traveled to Sephora (a whole 6 blocks) to try it out.
Fully expecting to report my dislike for this product, I was overwhelmed with surprise when it turned out to be amazing! This is not the old flaky liner your mama used! This richly pigmented liquid just glides on so easily and the skinny brush is stiff enough so it doesn’t squiggle around! The look is a glossy, jet black liner which can be winged or blended, you name it! I had to buy it and am wearing it proudly right this minute.
Fortunately for me, it only came in two colors black and brown/black or for that, or I may not have been able to control myself and bought them in every color!
Vincent Longo Liquid Liner is available at Sephora.com and Vincentlongo.com.

Since I was old enough to diet, I have been forcing myself to eat eggs. In my family, the egg was the god of diet foods. So hard boiling them, splitting them open and throwing out the yellows bits, only to slurp down there tasteless, rubbery whites was less than pleasing. Now, when I am not trying to torture my body into fitting in jeans that are way too small for me, I have avoid eggs like the plague.
Well, all eggs except the amazing Sponge by Beauty Blender!
Now usually, I would say that a sponge is a sponge is a sponge. Not so with this baby! There are so many ways to use this that it is actually amazing. Use it to blend foundation without any missed spots or ugly streaking. The pointed edge is used to go into all the crevices on your face including those hard to reach corners of the nose. Use it to smooth out your makeup once its applied and your face will look absolutely flawless. This egg shaped sponge also works well to cover unsightley zits by applying concealer then blending in the little sucker with it’s pointy side. I could go on and on but there is a cool little pamphlet inside the container which covers all the bases. I love, love, love that this sponge can be cleansed with the cleaner and re-used. Go buy this thing. I swear it’ll make your other sponges obsolete.

This morning I woke up and looked in the mirror. Let’s just say it wasn’t purty! Working really long hours and traveling to and fro had clearly taken there toll on my eyes. I noticed really dark circles, puffy bags, and the skin around the eye area was just generally yucky! Totally unacceptable for a chick like me, so I ran to my kit and grabbed my Earth Therapeutics Hydrogel Under Eye Recovery Patches. I slapped ‘em on my tired, puffy eyes and soaked up the sooth-ations!
I love these patches and I usually reserve them for my uppity clients who feel very pampered when I use them before their makeup application.
These gel patches contain so much great stuff. Green tea, anti oxidant vitamin complex A, C and E, Aloe Vera, cucumber, and Chamomile. Hmm, I should probably be eating like this too. Applied to the eyes though, these patches really smooth out the skin and nourish dryness, swelling, and all the general “ickiness” that we all hate. They also get rid of dark circles at least temporarily, which is great if you have a special event to attend.
I of course, did not have any special event except for seeing the hottie in the baggy jeans that I walk by everyday at 1:pm. Of course that is reason enough!
Earth Therapeutics Hydrogel Under Eye Recovery Patches are available at Drugstore.com.

Now I know you glossers are kinda sick of hearing me sing the praises of the eyelash curler, but I wouldn’t be trying to drill it into your heads if it wasn’t one of the most important tools that I use! The first and only lash curler I have ever used is the Shu Uemura lash curler. Why? It’s simple, the bouncy spring and the rounded rubber insert which forms a j-curl instead of a useless V shaped curl! Simple enough? Well, Mr. Uemura “shapes” history again with his new and improved lash curler!
Now the infamous curler comes with a mushroom shaped silicone insert which provides a protective and stay put edge so there is less slippage (great for those of us who tend to be clutsy) and optimum curl! Not only that but the new hinge is specially engineered to apply just enough pressure so you won’t hurt your lashes which is just so cool. This lash curler is also designed to fit almost every size eye under the sun, so now you won’t have to try to adjust it to curl half your lashes at one time!
As soon as I heard Shu Uemura had a new and improved lash curler I ran (literally ran) to Sephora and grabbed three of them. I consider this quite disciplined if I do say so myself.
The Shu Uemura Lash Curler is available at www.sephora.com.
